SPIE Smart Structures/NDE is an International Conference took place from 20 to 24 March 2016 in Las Vegas, United States. This conference addresses energy harvesting, civil infrastructure monitoring, and includes the latest advancements in materials and sensor technologies. It is a great opportunity for networking and collaboration between engineers and researchers involved with the applied technologies of advanced materials, smart sensor networks, and non-destructive evaluation tools. The attendance is widely international, with 39 represented countries.
In this context, VORTEXSAN was presented by professor Theodoros Matikas (University of Ioannina) under the title: “Development of an advanced, high-frequency GPR technique for the assessment of concrete structures: From modeling predictions to experimental results”, while also participated with the poster in the relevant session. The abstract of the paper is available here.
